Was just reading a poem about self-impowerment. The subject of the poem was feeling good about who you are and how you are ( a positive message ). Sadly, the message was freighted on the back of villifying society.  Embodying it as some force of ill intent. Why do we, when acting in ugly ways to each other,  need to see it as the action of some impersonal, outside entity? Society is the relationship between individuals. Change the relationship, change society. How we treat others, how we respond to how they treat us. Changing society is about changing ourselves.

What makes something interesting? Have been studying many of Monet's paintings. It's amazing to look at his paintings and then go outdoors and see fields and plants and sky. The paintings and the landscape look nothing alike and yet feel the same.  If anything, the paintings feel more like the land than the land itself.  As if the essence of the land was intensified. The home collection of library books has recently exceeded ninety. This isn't due to any lack of reading.  It's more the phenomenon of returning one book and spying three ( or six, or eight ) more screaming to be read. Always feel a sense of amazement when people complain of boredom. How can they be bored ? There's an infinite amount of things to see and do, learn and explore. Discover and create. A single activity,  devoted to,  diligently pursued, is infinitely larger than the span of a life. When is there time to be bored?
